Patricia Baldwin

British writer of children's books for Christian publishers Victory Press. Her books were mainly 'career' novels with teenage girls embarking on various careers. One of her books was set in a riding school and like the author's other novels has a Christian theme. There are some good Christian pony books out there which manage to blend a religious approach with a good horsy story, but alas this book isn't one of them.

Horse & Pony Books:

RICKY AT THE RIDING SCHOOL
(VICTORY PRESS 1968)
SUMMARY: Christian themed pony story about a girl who has difficulties to overcome with a temperamental pony.
PONYMAD VIEW: Uninspired story which is heavy on the religion, light on everything else. The attractive cover is the highlight! I don't think even devout Christian readers will get much out of this one.
PONYMAD RATING: 1 HORSESHOE

Collectors info:
Not common but still can be found without too much effort through internet book shops, in the UK, and as with most Christian pony books, is fairly low cost. Harder to find elsewhere.
